2023… That’s a Wrap!

by Jason Wu, President of Elder Care Management

With the chill in the air and the falling of leaves, I am reminded that we are again approaching the end of one year and the beginning of another. As I always do at this time of the year, I have begun to reflect on the last 11 months and the many things that we are grateful for.

First and foremost, we are grateful for the trust that our clients place in us. It is our privilege to have served hundreds of seniors and their families, helping them to navigate the challenges of aging and live their best possible lives. Every day, we are inspired by our clients’ resilience, strength, and storied lives.

Personally, I am particularly grateful for the team that we have assembled at Elder Care Management. Felicia Juntunen and Gail Arno, our current and former Directors of Care Management, continue to set the standard for our team through their unparalleled work ethic, vast knowledge in our field, dedication to our team, and endless compassion for our clients. Maureen Lawrence, our Community Outreach Coordinator, never ceases to amaze me with her endless enthusiasm and ability to keep Elder Care Management at the forefront of the conversation about aging. Each member of our Care Management team brings their own unique style, skillset, and strengths to our company and, together, I truly believe that we have the Best Team Ever.

Looking back at 2023, I am proud to see that our team has continued to grow. We now have a team of nine Care Managers and an Outreach Coordinator. We have recently added a new office in Vacaville to more easily serve clients in Yolo and Solano counties. With primary offices in Sacramento and Vacaville, we can now serve clients from Auburn in Placer County to Cameron Park in El Dorado County and to Suisun City in Solano County.

In 2023, Elder Care Management also continued its longstanding tradition of providing educational webinars and presentations to the broader community. Through November of this year, we have given twenty-eight educational presentations to the community, many with our valued partners such as the Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center and the Alzheimer’s Association. We have also partnered with over a dozen Assisted Living Communities and Senior Centers throughout the Greater Sacramento region to educate both individuals and families on a variety of aging-related topics.

As we look towards the future, we remain steadfast in our mission to provide exceptional care management services that empower older adults to live healthier, happier, and more independent lives. We thank you for your trust and support and wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season!
