SUMMARY:Successfully Serving Your Aging Congregation
DESCRIPTION:Local Faith Leaders are invited to join us as we celebrate the 15th annual Successfully Serving Your Aging Congregation event!\n\n\n\n\nWe know that families who are facing chronic health conditions\, dementia\, and other aging concerns often turn to their faith community for support. Families are met with varying levels of knowledge and understanding of the complex needs and support services available. Faith leaders are in a critical position to be able to encourage families and to provide guidance and resources throughout their journey.\nWe invite leaders of churches\, synagogues\, and other faith-based organizations to join us for this important event.  Only faith leaders actively supporting an aging congregation should attend.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWith presentation by ECM Director\, Louie Handugan\, MDIV\n\nSupporting Congregants at the End-of-Life with Grace & Hope\nThis presentation equips faith leaders to accompany congregants and families through the end‑of‑life journey with a ministry of hope\, presence\, and grace. Rooted in Scripture and the gospel’s promise that Christ has conquered death\, it shows how pastors can offer compassionate presence\, support families through anticipatory grief\, encourage reconciliation and blessing\, and complement hospice teams with spiritual care. Practical tools will help leaders serve with clarity and tenderness. The session calls faith leaders to embody peace and gospel hope as steady witnesses to God’s faithfulness in life’s final chapter.\n\n\n\n\nEvent is free\, but space is limited and Registration required: https://successfullyservingyouragingcongregation.com/register
